この度CONCEPT SPACEとAisでは下記の要領で「MICHAL SKODA （ミハル シュコダ）」の展覧会を開催する運びとなりました。
SKODA氏の個展は２００８年、２０１９年以来日本で３回目の開催となります。SKODA氏はチェコ共和国のバドワイズとプラハを拠点にしながら、ヨーロッパ各地で精力的に展覧会活動を展開しています。
作品は、MDF素材にグラファイトやアクリル塗料をつかって極めてストイックに構築された端正な表層を呈しています。白、黒、グレーなどの無彩色に彩られた作品は、日本の時流とは異なる東欧のナショナリティーと独自性あふれる表現を一貫して平面作品と彫刻によって表現されています。これらの作品群はCONCEPT SPACEやAisが推し進めている”ミニマルアート”と”コンセプトアート”の王道をゆく、模範的な思想に裏付けられた最小限の表現と言っても過言ではありません。
今回２つの会場で開催される展覧会は、CONCEPT SPACEの[ Work on paper ]とAisの［ Environment of Taim ]のタイトルをもとに、紙や鉛板を支持体にしたSKODA氏の代表的な大小の作品をインストール致します。モノクロームと抑制された表現の作品群をどうぞご堪能下さい。
＊Michal SKODAの展示は佐賀市のプロジェクトスペースkenakianに、新しい作品によって構成展示されます。
＊２０２４年１月１日に起こった能登半島地震のチャリティーとして「能登半島地震復興支援プロジェクト」を開設しました。
このプロジェクトで得られた義捐金は災害孤児の奨学金として寄付されます。
CONCEPT SPACE
Ais
CONCEPT SPACE and Ais will be holding an exhibition of "MICHAL SKODA" as follows.
This will be SKODA's third solo exhibition held in Japan since 2008 and 2019. Mr. SKODA is based in Budějovice, Czech Republic and Prague, and is actively engaged in exhibition activities throughout Europe.
His works depict neat color compositions constructed in an extremely stoic manner using graphite and acrylic paints on MDF materials. His works, colored in achromatic colors such as white, black, and gray, consistently express Eastern European nationality and uniqueness, which is different from that of many Japanese artists. It is no exaggeration to say that these works follow the royal road of "minimal art" and "concept art" promoted by CONCEPT SPACE and Ais, and are minimal expressions backed by exemplary concepts.
The exhibition to be held at two venues this time will be based on the titles CONCEPT SPACE's [Work on paper] and Ais's [Environment of Taim], and will feature SKODA's representative large and small works using paper and lead plates as supports. We will install the works. Please enjoy the monochrome and restrained works.
* Michal SKODA's exhibition will consist of his new works at the art space kenakian in Saga City.
*We have established the "Noto Peninsula Earthquake Recovery Support Project" as a charity for the Noto Peninsula Earthquake that occurred on January 1, 2024.
The money raised through this project will be donated to scholarships for disaster orphans.
